Music addicted, Tommaso let dance night-owl community in 1990’s turning the discs in Florentine clubs, while gobbled up vinyl’s from Jazz to 90’s music. He started to dance in 1996 attending for his first time a Boogie-Woogie class. In 2007 he met Lindy Hop, it was a love at first sight and with its rousing music, Tommaso’s way was clear. Tommaso broke the ice joining group and private lessons from worldwide dancers such as: Ninjammerz and Harlem Hot Shots. In 2008 he had the pride and joy to meet Frankie Manning attending his classes , who has been the greatest dancer and Lindy Hop promoter of all times. In 2009 he knew Giulia Agostini and decided to apply with her the study of this discipline. They started together attending lessons in Italy and abroad: Como, Genoa, Milan, Grenoble, Barcelona, Montpellier, Ljubljana, Budapest, Stockholm, Herräng, Prague, are some of the cites where they studied with the most biggest artists. In 2010 Tommaso started for the first time in Florence a class entirely dedicated to Lindy Hop! At the beginning of 2010 was born the lindyhopinflorence.com website , Tommaso and Giulia understood that it was the time to have and headquarter in Florence to let people know the swing dance and to give an home to this amazing discipline. The goal was to share and transmit their passion to people who believe into dance and entertainment, handling the technique and the authenticity of dance and music. In February 2012 during "Danza in Fiera", one of the most important dance event settled in Florence, Tommaso and Giulia introduced for the first time the Lindy Hop classes and they took part at the organization of "The Vintage Show". During "Danza in Fiera" of 2013 they organized together with other people, the first Swing Festival in Florence with several classes, shows, competitions and vintage dance booth.
Teaching for Tommaso is a vocation, chatty by nature he gets involved by explaining even the smallest detail in the lesson, for him teaching is as important as dancing, two identical sides of the passion that led to the first course of Lindy Hop in Florence in 2009 held by him.
His desire is to see the student surpassing the teacher, this is the motivation that drives him forward, always looking for perfection, a pure dance, true, original, in practice and in the spirit of community that distinguishes his school.
