Irene is a greek italian dancer and visual artist, born in lake Garda (IT).

Trained in ballet for many years, she likes to try different things to combine the experience gained from different dance forms, like contemporary and tap dance, (her new favourite things), aiming for better technique as well as rhythmical and musical understanding.

That’s how she found lindy hop, in 2010 in Athens (GR) first but then it was in Gent (BE), where she lived for two years, that she really got to know it; there, she also discovered authentic jazz and started teaching.

In 2012 she met her partner Tony Jackson: today they travel together to teach in different camps and events, including the biggest African American dance camp, Herrang (SE), and compete obtaining many achievements such as the 1st prize in ESDC 2013 (Open Classic), as a highlight.
Irene likes travelling, social dancing and competitions. She continues to take as many classes as possible to expand her dance knowledge.
As a dancer she believes in a dance that feels flowy, natural and comfortable which allows her to be creative, rhythmical.
